Horse

Momentum, and whether you are holding the reins. The horse is the seventh earthly branch and carries Fire. In the Chinese zodiac it is the animal of travel, of carrying things long distances, and of a career that moves.

In the traditional vocabulary it is not read as a warning. Momentum, and whether you are holding the reins. The animal is treated as a description of a situation — usually involving timing or a person — not as a prediction. Horse dreams commonly appear during periods of rapid outward change — relocation, promotion, a new market — when the change itself is fine but the pace is not chosen.

Traditional readings are almost entirely about direction and control. A horse running free and a horse being ridden are close to opposite readings, and neither is about the animal itself. It is grouped under Fire (火) in the five-element system.
