Why today reads this way
Moon 10° Scorpio, 116° from your Cancer Sun — trine (orb 4°), on a Earth day
Moon 10° Scorpio, 4° trine to your Sun. This is the mechanism the reading is drawn from — it describes the day's emphasis, not a fixed outcome. Nothing on this page forecasts events.
Today's tip
Today's edge case is managing everyone's feelings except your own. Catch it before it catches you.
The other eleven signs today
Cancer in brief
Cardinal water ruled by the Moon — the sign whose attention is organised around who is safe. Cancer reads a room before it reads an argument, and takes the temperature of both.
Water element, cardinal modality, ruled by Moon. Those three say more about Cancer than any single day's reading can — the reading moves, the structure does not.
Where Cancer actually is
Your sign is the position of the Sun at your birth, not a table of dates. The Sun crosses into Cancer around the start of its season, but the exact hour moves a little each year, and anyone born within a day of the boundary needs their birth date checked rather than assumed. The zodiac finder does that from the date.
Cancer is one of twelve equal divisions of the ecliptic, each 30°. Today the Sun sits in Libra — on your birthday and the weeks around it, that is the part of the year the day's sky is closest to your own.
How today's reading is built
Take today's Moon position, measure its angular distance to the Sun position that defines Cancer, and check whether that distance is near an aspect. Then read the day's stem-and-branch pair for its element — today it is Water, and that element either feeds your Water or does not. Both results are printed above, in the “why today reads this way” line, so you can check the reasoning rather than take it on faith.

A daily reading can only ever use the date. A BaZi or Zi Wei reading uses your birth data, which is why it can say something about your month and year.
