Star

A star is read as a fixed distant point — something you navigate by rather than something you reach. Stars are Fire at distance. Traditional reading asks whether you were counting them or following one, which separates measurement from direction.

Natural features are read by state and conditions. A star is read as a fixed distant point — something you navigate by rather than something you reach. Traditional readings look at whether it is calm or disturbed, near or distant. A star that moves is a recorded variant with a long history across cultures, and it is read as a reference point that has become a course.

Sources treat the single star differently from the field: one star is a reference, many are a condition. It is grouped under Fire (火) in the five-element system.
